4Legs is a much-loved Australian owned and made, natural dog food brand, built over 25 years by a bunch of 2-legged people who happen to be related.
It all began in 1996 when Tony Ratten was scouring the supermarket for fresh, wholesome food to feed the family’s beloved dog, Coco the Schnauzer. Unable to find what he was looking for, Tony decided to create his own, and 4Legs was born. Today three of Tony’s children (and a myriad of four-legged family members) have joined Tony in the business. Such is their passion for crafting delicious, nutritious and auspicious food for their furry friends.
“We have a simple philosophy,” explains Tony. “We believe dogs thrive on a diet full of fresh meat and vegetables, an appropriate amount of healthy grains and essential vitamins and minerals – that’s it. (Oh and some belly rubs and nose kisses for good measure). So, all our products are 100% preservative free and without added salt, sugar or colours and flavours.”
All meats are purchased from human-grade abattoirs and all 4Legs products meet the nutritional requirements for a ‘complete and balanced’ food as stipulated by the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO).’
