Demonstrating your love for your pet through cuddles and affection is a key part of your relationship. Simple actions like having them by your side on the couch, giving them hugs and pats or scratching their belly reinforces and strengthens your bond.

Research has shown that even just looking into your pet’s eyes boosts feel good hormones.  Studies have shown that when pets and owners gaze into each other’s eyes, they can both experience an increase in oxytocin levels of up to 300%*.

A dog with a strong emotional connection to their human will thrive physically and emotionally. Giving your dog a hug is an easy way to create connection with your pet and more importantly it feels good for you both!

Here’s how to incorporate cuddles into your daily routine

Step 1: Locate your dog (hint: they are probably in your immediate vicinity)

Step 2: Cuddle your dog

Step 3: Enjoy endorphin boost

Step 4: Repeat as required
